RIBOA Mission Statement

The purpose of this association is to cooperate in the formulation of standards for the protection of the safety, health, morals, and general welfare of those in and about buildings. It is also the purpose of this association to promote cooperation and understanding between building officials and other code enforcement officials, agencies, the building construction industry, and the general public.

2026 RIBOA Membership Renewal

If not paying online, please complete the online renewal process, select the option to "Bypass Payment, Pay By Check" on the payment screen, then mail a printed copy of your receipt with your check made payable to RIBOA.

2026 Membership Fees

  • $100.00 if paid by December 31, 2025

thereafter

  • $125.00 if paid by March 31, 2026

  • $150.00 for Re-Instatement after March 31, 2026

Current RI Codes ADOPTED December 1, 2025

Based on the 2021 ICC Codes with RI Amendments and the 2024 IECC with no amendments (see below).

A digital version of the current RI State Building Code (International Codes with RI Amendments) can be viewed together on the ICC Digital Codes website which can be found here.

If you prefer hard copies you will need to purchase the 2021 International Codes and reference the RI amendments on the RI SOS website.

New state Energy Code adoption - ADOPTED on November 14, 2024 with a 3-month grace period, full adoption February 14, 2025
